Reports to: Batch Plant Operator
Job Overview: Under the direction of the batch plant operator, performs routine maintenance and cleaning of the batch plant.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Become proficient in batching concrete to act as back-up batch plant operator if required.
- Perform aggregate moisture testing daily.
- Keep a clean and well maintained batch plant. Complete daily and weekly verification checklists.
- Administration of aggregate deliveries including running loads up to storage bins and using loader to get material through grizzly grates.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and place orders as required.
- Accurately and legibly complete daily batch reports.
- Ensure batch plant is operated safely, including performing lock-out tag out when required.
- Perform routine mixer maintenance including cleaning and wear part replacement.
- Maintain all areas of batch plant to be free of obstructions/aggregate over-spill.
- Assist in other areas of the plant as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum High School Diploma
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Demonstrated ability to multitask and work under pressure. Must be capable of running computer and associated software.
Previous Experience: Experience in precast or ready mix industry desired.
Physical: Applicants must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended period of time, lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs, crawl on hands and knees, climb a ladder and be able to work long hours. This position occasionally works outdoors year-round and therefore is subject to all weather conditions including extreme cold and heat.
